On
Sunday January 24, 2010 Eritrean Community residing in North
Rhine-Westphalia & Hanover held a successful public meeting in the
City of Wuppertal to condemn the UN Security Council’s unjust and
illegal resolution passed to impose sanction against Eritrea. The
participants recalling their ever fresh and lasting memories of how
the United Nations betrayed Eritrea and why the people of Eritrea was
forced to undergo through harsh and bloody political and armed
struggle stated that it is not for the first time that Eritrea has
become the victim of unjustified UN resolutions, and they affirmed
that the Eritrean people would as ever overcome such an act and remain
united to annul and repeal the resolution. In addition to condemning
the unjust and shameful resolution, they confirmed that draft
resolution was prepared and enforced by the US Administration’s just
only to prove again and again that it is the result of its failed and
misguided policy
and exploitation in the Horn of Africa.
Finally
the participants concluded the meeting by passing the following
resolutions. They denounce the unjust and illegal sanction on Eritrea
and call on the Security Council to lift the sanction immediately.
Call on worldwide demonstration against the illegal and unjust
sanction.
Call on Eritrean nationals to stand alongside their people and
leadership.
They will continue to work towards realizing the mapped out
development plans in Eritrea, regardless of any difficulties.Attached
