On Saturday, 12 September 2009,
the Eritrean Youth Association in Lusannes, Switzerland
celebrated Bahti Meskerem - the beginning of the armed
liberation struggle led by Martyr Hamid Idris Awate in style!
Speaking on the occasion in which members of the Eritrean Youth
and invited guests participated, Mr. Bereket Woldeyohannes,
Chargé d'affaires expressed congratulations to nationals in
Swiss and abroad and called on the Eritrean Youth to reinforce
unity and build the Homeland on the basis of harmony. He further
stressed the need to extend assistance to children of fallen
heroes and needy nationals.
Noting that the secret of the Eritrean people’s victory lies in
their unity and steadfastness, Mr. Bereket expressed conviction
that they would as ever meet all challenges and emerge
victorious.
The Performance of legend Singer Osman Abdurahim, from Sweden
and Kahsai Berhe from London added color to the celebrations. |
